TINWALD CLUB’S ROADRACE.
CREMIN FIRST AND FASTEST. Conditions were at their best lor tbe '3O-milo road-race held by fbe Timvaid Cycling Club round the Willowby block on Saturday. The limit riders set up a good, pace over the first 20 miles, and at one stage it seemed as though they might fill the places, but good team work on the ipart of the other riders proved its worth over the latter stages. Stevens and Doyle, oil the 5 ini in mark, were riding well, with a big bunch, after 20 miles, then Stevens fell. At this stage M. Kirdv (2min) had caught the leaders with the lmin men, Tod, Allen and Carr, only a short distance back. These men had gained about 20sec on J. Cremin (scr),
Avho had lost his co-marker. Soon after tho riders Avere in one bunch, except Cremin, Avho rode Avell over tho last 10 miles, and caught the leaders about three miles from tho finish.
In the sprint homo J. Cremin came out from the field to Avin from E. Allen by five yards. The platings Avere:

This Avas the last race before the Mid-Canterbury Championships on May 15 around the same course at Timvald. Biv prize-money has been found for this event and a good race is assured.
