"OUR-SUANT to Section 10 of “The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926,” and with the precedent consent of the Local Government Loans Board, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a POLL of Ratepayers of the METHVEN DRAINAGE AREA of Ashburton County, will lie taken on THURSDAY, the 20th day of May, 1937, on the proposal to BORROW the sum of £BOOO, for the purpose of Installing an Underground Drainage System for that Area. The Sum proposed to he borrowed is £BOOO. The proposed security shall be a special rate of eleven-sixteenths of a penny in the £ on the Capital \ alue of all rateable property within the Metliven Drainage Area, Ashburton County, the loan to be for a term of thirtyfive years, and bearing interest at the rate of Three Pounds Ten Shillings per cent (3| per cent.) per annum, together with a Sinking I'und of One -Pound Ten Shillings per cent. (H per cent.) per annum. It is proposed to pay out of the Loan the cost of raising the 'Loan, but it is not proposed to pay the first year s interest and sinking fund out of the Loan.
