ACTORS CONSIDER ACTION. .United Press Association— Copyright.) SAN FRANCISCO, May 2. Three thousand technical workers, including hairdressers, painters, and draughtsmen affiliated to the American Federation of Labour, picketed Major Cinema studios at Hollywood. The Screen Actors’ Guild, with a membership of 3000, of which Robert Montgomery is president, will decide at a mass meeting to-night whether to join the strikers. The pickets did not attempt to prevent actors from entering the studios. Clark Gable, William Powell, Jean Harlow and Greta Garbo are among those who were unable to obtain breakfast because of the chefs striking. Marlene Dietrich applied her own makeup. The studios are concerned, as oO pictures, a record number, are in production.
