INDUSTRY IN BRITAIN. United Press Association—Copyright.} LONDON, March 8. The Ministry for Labour estimated that at February 22 the number of insured persons, exclusive of agricultural workers, in employment was approximately 11,187,000 —81,000 more than month before and 662,000 more than a year before. At the same date, the numbers of registered unemployed in Britain were 1,627,84-5, comprising 1,391,932 wholly unemployed, 161,634 temporarily unemployed, 161,634 temporarily laid off, and 74,079 normally in casual employment. This was 61,378 fewer than at January 25 and 397,176 fewer than a year before.—British Official "Wireless.
