APPOINTMENTS GAZETTED. DUKE OF BUCGLEUGH TO BE LORD STEWARD. (United) Press Association—Copyright.) LONDON, March 2. A long list of appointments to the King’s Household is gazetted. Among the principal are the following:— Lord Chamberlain, the Earl of Cromer. Lord Steward, the Duke of Bucclough and Queensberry. Master of the Horse, the Duke of Beaufort. Treasurer of the Household, Sir George Penny. Comptroller of the Household, Sir Lambert Ward. Vice-Chamberlain of the Household, Sir. George Davies. , Private secretary, Major Alexander Hardinge. Assistant private secretaries, Mr F. H. Mitchell, Mr A. F. Lascelles, and Sir Eric Melville, Keeper of the King’s Archives, Lord Wigram. Keeper of the Privy Purse, Major Ulick Alexander. Financial secretary to the King, Mr F. P. llobinson. High Almoner, the Archbishop of Canterbury (the Most. Rev. Dr. Cosmo Gordon Lang). Prebendary Archvilte is appointed Precentor of the Chapels Royal. Under the heading of the Medical Household, there are 35 appointments headed by Lord Dawson of Penn, Lord Holder, Sir John Weir, and Sir Maurice Cassidy. The Earl of Athlone is to he Constable and Governor of Windsor Castle. Mr John Masefield Continues to bo Poet Laureate.
