BOMBING PLOT.
ATTEMPT TO TAKE ADDIS ABABA. REPRISALS BY THE ITALIANS. (United Pres 9 Association —Copyright.) ROME, February 23. It is believed that the Italians killed 600 Abyssinians after the bombing on Saturday, in which Generals Graziani and ’ Liotta were wounded. The total includes 300 Abyssinians, executed as a reprisal Two hundred were killed when' Fascists “cleaned up” Addis Ababa and another 100 when, in the confusion after the bombing, the Italians fired into the crowd. General Graziani’s condition may he worse than was at first disclosed. Signor Corrado Zoli, a former Governor of Eritrea, has expressed the opinion that the Dedjazmatches Beine Merid and Gabre Mariam joined forces to march on Addis Ababa with the support of Its Desta, but were defeated by Italian columns, Ras Desta escaping wounded. The Italians brought back Beine Merid to the battlefield, and shot him after lie bad identified Gabre Mariam’s body. The bomb throwers were emissaries of Ras Desta, and they struck prematurely, believing that his arrival was imminent, whereas he was still two days from the capital. They hurled 10 grenades before they fell.
