Tii© following information regarding London markets is supplied by the Primary Products Marketing Department, which has received a cablegram from London :—• New Zealand Butter —Salted, 83s, exceptional 84s; unsalted, 925. Deliveries 2133 tons, in store 5032 tons, which include 31,240 ex the Akaroa. The market was slightly steadier at the close. Retail price: New Zealand lid, Danish Is 2d. New Zealand Cheese.—White 51s 6d, 525; coloured 515,*51.s 6d. Deliveries 21,794 crates; in store, 56,766 crates, including 1417 crates ex Hororata and Doric Star. Retail prices unchanged. Market quiet.
LONDON MEAT MARKET. The Bank of New Zealand is in recept of the following advice from. its London office as at the close of business this week: — Wethers—Demand and prices are steady. Ewes —There is a fair demand. Lambs—Larger supplies have caused prices to weaken. Wetliers, light—sd to old per lb. heavy, 4d to 4|d. Ewes, 3fd to 4|d,. Lambs, 2’s, 7§d to 7|d; B’s 7£d to 7-|d; 4’s, 61 d, to 7d; Seconds', 7id to 7gd. THE LONDON WOOL SALES The Bank of New Zealand is in receipt of the following advice from its London office under date of the 19th inst: “Prospects for the next series of sales are doubtful and prices are generally expected to decline as follows: — Merinos and Fine Crossbreds pd to Id., Medium and Coarse Crossbreds id.”
