In the first round of the Davis Cup contest, the match New Zealand versus China will probably bo played at the Stade Roland Garros on April 30, and May 1 and 2. JAPAN’S PROSPECTS UN- / FAVOURABLE. TOKIO, February 6. Opinion in tennis circles is divided regarding the prospects of' the Japanese Davis Cup team—H. Nishimura, J. Yamagashi and Nakano —in the North American zone competition this year. Mostly it is regretted that they are not likely to meet the Australians, as it is feared that they will not be able to defeat the Americans.
