ASHBURTON CLUB ACTIVITIES. PROGRESS OF COMPETITIONS. Bad weather bas interfered with the progress of the Ashburton Bowling Club competitions this week. This is unfortunate as very little time now remains before entries must be in for the sub-centre and centre championships. There is less than a fortnight to complete the singles championship and those still in are urged to play at the first available date. Results this week are: — Champion Singles—Lane beat Dakers, Woods beat Smith, and David beat Lane. Tulloch is the only man left in with two lives. Colts’ Singles —Porter beat Johnstone and lias now reached the final in both lives. His prospects are good. Champion Pairs—Carter and Madden (s) beat Dakers and McEaclien (s).
