SAFE BLOWN OPEN.
OFFICE SET ON FIRE. -'Per Press Association.) PALMERSTON 1 NORTH, Dec. 25. The motor service station of illiam Rarrett, of Pahiatua, was broken into early this morning and the safe blown. A small sum of money was taken. The explosion set fire to the office, hut the prompt action of the nightwatchman enabled the early suppression of the fire.
