EMPLOYMENT IN AMERICA. (United Press Association—Copyright) WASHINGTON, December 23. The Secretary for Labour (Miss Frances Perkins), in an employment survey, showed an increase of 1,100,000 workers in private industry in November compared with the same month of 1935, with a consequent increase of 50,500,000 dollars in pay-rolls. The survey included industries employing more than half the working population. “I believe that if agricultural and domestic workers were included, tlie survey would show as many working as in 1929,” she said.
