The Chancellor of the Exchequer (Mr Neville Chamberlain) referring to barriers on international trade, said it remained one of the main objects of the policy of the British Government to promote the exchanges of goods between this and other countries bjl means of bilateral trade agreements. Mr Chamberlain was asked for an assurance that in view of the existing frozen credits in Germany, he would not sanction German attempts to float a loan in this country at present. Mr Chamberlain said that no issue of a German loan, so far as he knew was under discussion.
