CREW OF SIX ON A LAUNCH. FROM SYDNEY TO LORD HOWE. (United Press Association—Copyright.) (Received This Day, 9.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. Fears are entertained for the safety of the crew of six of the auxiliary cruiser Viking, which left Sydney for Lord Howe Island on November 1, and should have reached its destination last Thursday at the latest. The Viking is a 32-fo,ot-long craft, and has a 30-horse-ipower engine. It was built here for a Lord Howe Island boardinghouse-keeper, Mr Gower C. Wilson, who is well known among Sydney tourists. Mr Wilson, himself an experienced boatman, was in charge of tiie craft. Hie had navigating instruments and a navigator aboard, and provisions and water far six persons for 10 days.
