NEWMAN’S MOTORS.
PURCHASED BY GOVERNMENT. (Pfer Press Association.) HOKITIKA, Sept. 7. The Railways Department has purchased Newman’s motor services and will take over on September 15. ' The service caters for all the tourist traffic to the Franz Josef and Fox glaciers and also a most expensive goods service. The purchase will enable the railways to handle the total freights for South Westland and will link the railway service at Ross.
