PASSENGER LANDjS SAFELY. CAPE TOWN, August 30. Dr. Dalton, captain of the Benoui Light Aeroplane Club, collapsed and died while flying over the Rand. Ho had taken up two passengersfi Miss Atwill, aged 16, and Mr Kruger, who, when the ’plane was at 3000 feet, saw Dr. Dalton lurch sideways. The machine was out of control and flew wildly in circles. Mr Kruger, though he had only nine hours’ flying experience, managed to push Dalton’s body aside and make a landing. Mr Kruger was unhurt, and the girl escaped with bruises. The aeroplane was slightly damaged.
