BIRTHS DECREASE.
ASHBURTON VITAL STATISTICS,
THE FIGURES FOR AUGUST. Vital statistics for the Ashburton registration district for the month of August show that births have decreased by six when compared with the figures for August last year. Other figures show an increase, there being six more deaths and one more marriage. Details axe given below, with figures for the corresponding month last year for comparison:—
