LODGE MEETING.
HAKATERE ODDFELLOWS. The Hakatere Lodge, 1.0.0. F., held its fortnightly meeting in the Tancred Street Hall last evening, the N.G. (Bro. E. Moore), presiding over a good attendance. Sick pay was passed in favour of six members. One transfer was granted. It was decided to invite Wakanui Lodge to a 500 card' match for next lodge night, September 2. Final arrangements were made for a visit from Washington Lodge, Christchurch, on Saturday, August 29. The V.G. (Bro. W. Barrett), reported on the card, match with Foresters Lodge last Monday evening. The Degree Master (Bro. H. C. Preston), conferred degrees on three brothers.
After Lodge closed a social hour was spent.
