ASHBURTON v. NORTH OTAGO.

WOMEN’S REPRESENTATIVE GAME. The Ashburton representative women’s hockey team to meet North Otago on Saturday on the Domain grounds will give the selectors another chance to; see players in action, as there is only one more Saturday left in which to select the final team for Blenheim. A slight alteration has been made in the team to meet North Otago, while further changes may be necessary for the- matches against Ellesmere on August 8. The selectors are anxious to send the strongest team possible, in the hope that hockey honours may be brought to the County this year. Fifteen payers are to be selected to make the trip. The following is the Ashburton representative team for Saturday:— Goal—K. Coates.

Backs—A. Loach, M. Watson. Halves—W. £owe, D. Fowke (captain), N. Tatterson. Wing-forwards—F. Gudsell. (right), J. Jary (left). Forwards—B. Brand, P. Brand, J. Davison. Reserves—R. Donaldson, F. Donaldson, J. Lowe. Mr~TL A. Humphreys has been appointed manager, Mrs S. Hampton chaperone, and 1 Mr W. B. Thomas referee. The North Otago team is:—
