THE SECOND TEST DRAWN. TWO CENTURIES BY VISITORS. (Received This Day, 9.45 a.m.) LONDON, July 28. The second Test cricket match, England versus India, played at Manchester, was drawn. The weather to-day was .showery m the morning, causing a delay of lialf-an-hour in the resumption of India’s second innings. Mushtaq Ali was cleverly dismissed after a splendid innings, including 17 boundaries. He gave no chances. Merchant’s invaluable innings terminated when he stopped a Yorker on his pads. Ho hit 13 fours and scored all round the wicket. Ramaswami batted dourly. Amar Singh hit vigorously, reaching 42 in 25 minutes. Bad light caused play to end at 4.30. Details:— ENGLAND.
