Hardstaff (Nottinghamshire). L. B. Fishlock (Surrey). A. Fogg (Kent). G. O. Allen is suffering from slight strain and has jlecided to rest. In view of the Test, on July 25, he did not captain Middlesex against Kent.
AMAR NATH NOT RETURNING. STATEMENT BY INDIAN CAPTAIN. LONDON, July 18. A message from Bombay states that Amar Nath is definitely not returning to England. “I am a strict disciplinarian,” said the Maharajkumar of Vizianagram in discussing Amar Nath. “The manager and myself originally agreed to have Amar Natli back on certain conditions, but on deeper consideration I changed my mind and informed _ the Indian Board of Control of it. • Discipline must be kept and I feel that the action originally taken should be adhered to.”
