STRICTER CONTROL IN JAPAN.

(United Press Association—Copyright.) TOIvIO, July 17. Martial law which has been in force since the revolt in February, has been raised, but “dangerous thought” is to be controlled more strictly. The Minister of the Interior (Mr Ushio) announced his policy of strengthening control throughout the country. Provincial governments are reminded of the necessity of controlling seditious literature and keeping a close watch on public discussions. Simultaneously/ with the raising of martial law, the Labour Party pledges itself to a policy of conquering Parliamentary power and nationalising industry.
