A_ gazette issued to-night contains and liabilities of the Reserve Bank the foliowing statement of the assets of New Zealand as at the close of business on June 8:

One of the few changes in _the grain and produce market this Week is a slight easing in the prices for G.W.I". 21nd under-grade fowl wheat, There is no life in. the partridge pea market. Samples on offer are mainly of poor quality, and no interest is being shown overseas. Farmers are still showing a, good quantity of wheat, for the dry weather has assisted them to get the ground ready for the winter sowing. ‘Supply and demand are small for oats, and quotations are unchanged.‘ The small seeds market is lifeless.

A quiet tone prevails on the potato? market. Supplies are good, but there} are few inquiries and prices are unchanged. Onion rates are also maintained at those quoted on Monday. A merchant said this morning, referring to the possibilities of the Sydney market, that it had been found difficult to get supplies of the desired quality. Although the Sydney market was . very strong, he added, there did not seem any chance of getting bulk shipments away on account of the quality problem. The following are quotations to farmers, on trusts, country stations, sacks extra except where otherwise stated :——- Potatoes—WVhites £4 108, Dakotas B 4 108, Sutton’s £4, 155 to £4 17s 6d, f.0.h.5.i.; whites £5 15s, Sutton’s £6 to £6 23 6d. .

Onions——£s 56 to £5 10s f.0.b., equal to £4 5s to farmers Wheat—Milling Tuscan 4s Bd, Hunters 43 10d, Peari 5s (all f.0.b.). Fowl Wheat—G.W.F., 3s 11d (on trucks); under-grade, 3s 6d to 3s 9d according to quality. Oats—Gartons 2s 2d to 25 6d, Alger—ian ls 9d to 23, 'D’uns 2s 361 to 25 6d according to quality). ~ Cocksfoot—Bd to 9d (according to quality). Ryegrass—2s to 2s 3d, according to qgality; Italian ryegrass, ls 9d to 2s 3 . Part-ridge Peas—Undergrade. 33 6d, good quality, 43 6d to 53, according to quality. Feed Barley—23 to 23 4d, according to quality; very bright best quality, 23 6d.

ADELAIDE WOOL SALES. BELOW FEBRUARY LEVELS. ADELAIDE, June 11. Prices of all good quality fleece Wool at the Adelaide wool sales to-day were 5 to '77} per cent. lower than Feb—ruary levels. Inferior lots dropped 10 per cent. Lack of Japanese competition was

not responsible for the fall of better types, which at times enjoyedi keen competition, but their absence was noticeable in sales of inferior lots, of which Japan usually buys large quantities. ’
