A motion of sympathy was passed with Mr J. Lawler. It was decided to hold a benefit match for Mr Lmvlier and, to apply to the Ashburton Rugby Union to have the senior match with Old Boys, in the third round, played at Rakaia, as this mateh. was considered a‘suitable one for a. closed day.
