AN INNOVATION.

TRAVELLING POST OFFICES.

(United Press Association—Copyright.) ‘ LONDON: May 22._

Interesting post office developments which will shortly be introduced include a. method whereby emergency telephone calls are to receive priority and instant response, the establishment of postal inquiry burenux in large towns, and the introduction of mobile post offices. These are to be hauled by tractors, and will attend important functions and sports meetings. A coach will be equipped with modern instruments for the transmission of telegrams, and will be connected with the telegraph office by temporary cables. The same means of a temper—ary cable connection would make it possible to include a telephone service, and there will be two telephones with access in the rear of the'coach.

In addition, there will be stampvending machines and a, letter box, and the collection of letters and parcels will be made as from an ordinary post office—British Official Wireless.
