ENGLISH BOY CHAMPION DEFEATS RENOWNED TOLLEY (United Press Association —Copyright) LONDON, May 1. An 18-year-old schoolboy, holder of the boys’ golf championship, John Langley, defeated, in the semi-final of the English amateur champibnship, Cyril Tolley, winner of almost as many championships as his opponent lias years. In one of the finest championship matches, seen Tolley, four down at the fourteenth, won the next three, hut Langley imperturbably putted at the eighteenth, halving the hole. He in the final, H. BentleyWalker Cupper ex-liolder of the French and German championships. In the semi-final, Cupper defeated C. Stowe, a coal miner, who earlier defeated J. De Forest, son of a millionaire.
