DESIRE FOR PEACE.
HERR HITLER’S DECLARATIONS,
(United Press Association—Copyright.) LONDON May 1.
The “Daily Telegraph’s” Berlin correspondent says that ‘Herr Hitler’ reaffirmation of a desire for peace was accompanied by a somewhat truculent warning against interference in Germany’s internal affairs. "We wish to say to other nations: Don’t cross our path. We have overcome our internal problems without involving others in our difficulties. Be good enough to do the same, and not draw others into your quarrels.”
The crowds were at fever heat when Herr Hitler concluded, declaring: "I would rather he the smallest worm in Germany than a> king elsewhere.”
