PRODUCE SHOW

IN THE MT. SOMERS FARISH. TOTAL ENTRIES A RECORD. GOOD QUALITY IN EXHIBITS. The Mount Somers Parish produce show and sale of work was opened in the Parish Hall this afternoon by the Rev. IT. S. Hamilton (Methven), before a large attendance. The entries numbered over 400, constituting a record for the show. There was a good display in all sections. The following were the judges: Mr H. B. Millichamp (Ashburton), fruit, flower and vegetable sections; Mrs A. E. Bland (Methven), cookery and. preserves; Mrs K. Dickie (Methven), sewing. Mrs Glenie assisted with the judging of flowers.
