CROQUET.

WAiREKA CLUB CLOSES. The Waireka Croquet Club closed its season on Thursday when a progressive tournament was played. The president (Mrs J. M. Wilkie) extended a welcome to members and visitors and Mr and Mrs J. Thompson congratulated the club on its success during the season. Afternoon tea was served after which Mrs Wilkie presented the prizes as follows :—Progressive tournament, Mrs G. Arthur 3 runner-up, Mrs S. Mitchell, consolation, Mrs S. P. Gogrdie. Saturday competition, senior trophy, Miss R. Hardwick; runner-up, Mrs J. M. Wilkie ; junior trophy, Airs C. Vial 3 run-ner-up, Airs S. Mitchell; yankee tournament, Aiiss R. Hardwick; runner-up Airs H. Flatman 3 handicap doubles, Aiiss Hardwick and Airs S. Mitchell.
