SPEED TRIALS.

The liner Queen Mary, with about 1000 officials, officers and crew, • left' Southampton last night for speed trials, and will not return for about a week. Many eminent engineers, representing the builders and owners of the vessel, are on board, and they will check the vessel’s performances over a measured mile off the Firth of Clj’de. —British Official Wireless.
