CHRISTCHURCH LABOUR PAPER. © (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, April 17. Mr E. C. Hide and those associated with him in tlie proposal to establish a new morning Labour newspaper in Christchurch have decided to abandon the project. The following statement lias been issued to the newspapers by Mr Hide:— “The provisional directors of the proposed ‘Times Newspaper Company, Ltd.’ have decided that, owing to insufficient financial support, they would not he justified, in proceeding with the incorporation of the company. The deposits of applicants for shares are being returned, and the prospectus is .withdrawn.”
