WYNDHAM TROTTING CLUB. VALDOR WINS CUP. (Per Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, March 18. The annual meeting of the Wyndham Trotting Club was held to-day. The weather was fine and warm, the attendance good, and the track holding, but in good order. The totalisator handled £10,986, against £11,690 10s last year. Concluding results:— Wyndham Trotting Club Handicap, of 300 sovs; 4.46 class; two miles—--12 (10) Valdor (R. B. Berry) 1, 8 (6) Harold Guy 2, 4 (1) Happy Knight 3. Won by half a length ; a length separating second and third. Time, 4.36 4-5. Toi Tois Handicap, of 115 sovs; 3.5 class; one' mile and a quarter—-3 (3) Loyal Sun (Thomas) 1, 6 (5) McGlusky 2, 1 (2) Pola Negri 3. Won by a length; half a length between second and third. Time, 2.52 2-5. Menzies Handicap, of 125 sovs; 5.4 class; unhoppled trotters; two> miles — 6 (3) Paul Bingen KM. Holmes) 1, 3 (2) Sandy JDrusus 2, 4 (4) Parrish Chimes 3. Won by five lengths; four lengths between second and third. Time, 4.49. President’s Handicap, of 130 sovs; 3.39 class; one mile and a half—l (1) Belle Grattan (Cosgrove) 1,2 (2) McGlusky 2, 10 (11) Vologda 3. Won by four lengths; .three lengths between second and third. Time, 3.22. . Final Handicap, of 170 sovs; 2.56 class; one mile and a quarter —1 (1) Pot Luck (M. Holmes) 1, 4 (3) Stirling Lady 2, 6 (5) Eighteen Carat 3. Won by a length ; three lengths between second and third. Time, 2.45 1-5. Stirling Lady finished first, but owing to interference with Pot Luck in the straight the placing® were reversed. An appeal was lodged,, but the dividends were paid o,ut. VICTORIA PARK EVENT. (United Press Association —Copyright.) SYDNEY, March 18. At the Victoria Park races results were: — Flying Handicap—First Division: Palady 6.12 (Curby) 1, Merrie Miller 8.0 (James) 2, Glenwitch 7.4 (A. Ward) 3. Sixteen started, including Norman Conquest and Loud Applause. Won by half a neck; half a length between second and third. Time, 1.19 J. McCarten, who resumed riding on Saturday, having completed a. period of suspension, won the Second Division on Lord Sun. L. Haigh announced to-day that Rogilla has run his last race and is to be retired. Haigh, who leased Rogilla throughout his racing career, said that the gelding had developed round bone and that it was useless persevering with his preparation.
