{From Our Own Correspondents.) BUSHSIDE. The monthly meeting of the Busliside Mothers’ Union was held at the home of Mrs L. Hicks and was fully attended. A letter of sympathy in her illness was sent to Mrs West-W atson. An address was given by Mr R. Carson. . HINDS. Members of the Girls’ Friendly Society went to' Peel Forest by ’bus on Wednesday to spend the annual camp holiday at the bush. Mrs Hall is in charge of the girls. There was a large congregation at the morning service held in St. Luke’s Church vesterday morning, conducted by the Rev. B. Taylor. Mr W. H. Funnel, a missionary from China, gave an interesting address on the work in the mission fields. There was a large attendance at the annual harvest thanksgiving service held in the Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Mr Walsh. Goods were sent ana later forwarded to the orphanage in Christchurch. Miss A. Frampton was organist.
