ANNUAL SHOW

SPRINGBURN SCHOOL DISPLAY. BETTER STANDARD OF EXHIBITS The fourth annual show in connection with the Springburn School was very successfully held yesterday. The weather was fine and there were good attendances in both the afternoon and evening. Competition was fairly good and the general standard, of exhibits was better than in previous years. The judges were: Mrs John Brown, home industries; Mr A. J. Milliohamp, flowers, vegetables and fruit; Mr J. TV. Butterick, pets; Mrs E. Christiansen, Miss L. C. Cooke and Mr L. H. Bansgrove, school section. Mrs Brown said the cooking was much, better than last year, and Mr Millichamp congratulated the school on its show, which in some aspects was up to metropolitan standard. He especially mentioned roses, for their colour and freshness, and beetroot, which was as good as anything he had ever judged. The judges were accorded a vote of thanks. The -show was opened by Mr L.
