SIR THOMAS INSKIP APPOINTED. A SEAT IN THE CABINET. (United Press Association —Copyright.) (Received This Day, 10.0 a.m.) LONDON, March 13. Sir Thomas Inskip (Solicitor-General) has been appointed Minister of Defence. The appointment came as a complete surprise. ,Sir Thomas will take up his duties immediately. He will have a. seat in the Cabinet, with the title of Minister for Co-ordination of Defence. He will exercise daily control of the Committee of Imperial Defence and he responsible for speeding up the plans for consultations by the chiefs of staff.
