LATE DR. KENNEDY.

REPRESENTATIVE FUNERAL. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The funeral of the Rev. Dr. Kennedy, late Superior of the Marist Noviciate at Palmerston North, took place this morning, being preceded by Solemn Requiem Mass at St. Mary of Angels. There was a very large and representative attendance of cterg'y and members of religious orders, laity and students at the Wellington Catholic Colleges. Archbishop O’Shea presided and the Dioceses of Auckland, Christchurch, Dunedin and Wellington were represented. Dr. V. Geaney, of Christchurch, preached the panygyric.
