It was a welcome change of fortune for the Wellington Club, which has had many unfortunate visitations of rain in the last few seasons to ruin meetings which promised well. The attendance was much above the average, and speculation was brisk, the sum of £15,645 being handled, compared with £11,665 at the.autumn meeting last year.
