ROAD BOARD.

THE WAKANUI DISTRICT. ' The Wakanui Road Board met yesterday afternoon, when there were piesent, Messrs F. Frampton (chairman), L. Hanrahan, J. Watson, A. Bennett, and A. Gregory. , It was reported that the damage caused by flood water at Shiplta Pass had been repaired, and it was decided to shingle about 30 chains of the road leading from Shipka Pass to Mr A Wilson’s corner. Because of the unsatisfactory condition of the side bridge over tie flood water channel at the junction of Se.i sloe and Butterick’s roads, it was agreed to approach the Ashburton County Council suggesting that a suitable permanent bridge should he erected in the centre of the road, and to make application for half the cost of the work.
