SUCCUMBS TO INJURY.

PILOT OF CRASHED ’PLANE. (United Press Association—Copyright.) (Received This Day, 9.5 a.m.) BRISBANE, March 4. R. Knightly, pilot of the ; plane which crashed on February_2o, died in hospital without having regained consciousness sufficiently to give 3' coherent account of the accident. The pilot and a passenger of the Queensland Aero Club D.H. Alpth were * badly burned w r hen the machine crashed at Toowoomba on February 20, and burst into flames. The pilot (R. Knightly) and a passenger (J. Poole), were taken to hospital in a serious condition, but the latter died the following day. It .appears that the engine stalled, after which the ’plane went into a tail spin.
