ASHBURTON STOCK MARKET. PRICES ADVANCE SHARPLY. BEST QUALITY EWES BRING 19s lOd. Prices advanced sharply again at the stock market at the Ashburton Saleyards to-day compared with those at the sale at Tinwald last week. The entry! was of good quality, and moderate in size. Eat ewes advanced about 2s in price, E. B. Newton (Ashburton) heading the market with a pen of seven at 19s lOd, while a pen was sold on account of a client at 19s 4d. Prices in this section averaged from 13s to 18s for average quality entries. The wether entry was the largest for some weeks. A single wether was sold on account of J. Moore (Ruapuna) at 80's, while two sold for clients brought 28s Id. Four lambs sold on account of clients brought 25s lOd, prices averaging from 20s to 25s for the remainder in this section.
