Rose’s arrival at Salisbury allayed anxiety, as he was many hours oveidue there. He had earlier missed Salisbury owing to a rainstorm and -was forced to land 70 miles away. Mrs Mollison’s record, established in November, 1932, was 4 days 6 hours, 54 minutes. The distance by her route was 6250 miles.
