REPORTED GERMAN PLANS.
INVASION OF CENTRAL EUROPE. air bases near dutch FRONTIER. PARTS, February 9. Madame Tabouis, writing in “L’Ouvre,” declares that Britain is disturbed at reports of increasing German armaments. It is believed that Germany lias three plans for expansion under consideration: (1) The Goering plan, provided -or attack on the Ukraine; (2) Contemplated expansion in Central Europe through Austria and Czechoslovakia; (3) Invasion of France, not only through Belgium, but through Holland. __ Germany already has 15 official aviation centres and 24 fields prepared for aeroplanes within 40 miles of the Dutch frontier. Large numbers of men from German labour camps have settled near Holland, and roads have been constructed from Bremen to Holland making a rapid invasion possible.
“COLOSSAL ARMAMENTS.” GERMANS CONSIDER CAPITAL LEVY. LONDON, February 0. The Berlin correspondent of the “News-Chronicle” says Germany’s colossal armaments programme is swallowing up so much money that the imposition of a capital levy to he devoted solely to the financial demands of the armed services is now being seriously considered. Butter is scarcer than ever in Germany and ration cards have reappeared. Eggs are equally scarce.
