TARRANT’S AUSTRALIAN TEAM. MATCH AGAINST INDIAN XI. (Received This Day, 10.5 a.m.) MADRAS, February 7. In the match against an Indian XI., Tarrant’s team of Australians made 162 in the first innings. Nassar took five wickets for 61 and Amarsingh five for 54. The Indian jteam, with, a first innings total of 189, have made 103 for nine in the second innings. MATCHES TO-DAY POSTPONED. All cricket matches in Ashburtontoday were postponed on account of the inclement weather. The fourth series of tlie third round was to have been played.
