Ominous movements of troops are reported from Outer Mongolia, toward which Japanese-Manehukuo forces are advancing. Chinese reports from Peiping indicate that Manchu'kuo-Mongol troops are also preparing to invade the Sinyuan province. A semi-official Japanese statement declares: “We cannot remain inactive in Outer Mongolia. The Mongols, assisted by the (Soviet, arc bttsily engaged; in warlike preparations along the entire frontier. Clashes are constantly recurring.” General Tsoyi (Chinese Governor ot Suiyuan) is preparing to resist the threatened invasion, which it is feared will precipitate a revolt among the Inner Mongolian tribesmen.
