THE HINDS AMATEUR CLUB. Mr Annett presided over a good attendance of members of the committee of the Hinds Amateur Athletic Club at a special meeting to consider piping events. On a notice of motion it was decided to cancel the open class piping. The children’s events will be the same as last year, except that a number of third prizes will be given. A sub-com-mittee was formed to put the track m order at the Domain. Several donations were promised by members of the committee for the piping and other events. WOMEN’S HIGH JUMP RECORD. MELBOURNE, February 2. Breaking her own Australian high jump record, Doris Carter cleared* sft 3 3-Bin at the Victorian Women’s Athletic Association’s competition at Maribyrnong yesterday.
