i ENGINE-DRIVER’S WIFE CHARGED. (Per Press Association.) HAMILTON, Jan. 20. j The transfer of a railway privilege ticket from an engine-driver’s wife to ja woman friend, who was not entitled to use it, led to charges being preferred by the police at Hamilton to-day against Agnes Emma Maliuta Beaufort, [who transferrel a first-class concession ticket, and also against Adeline Bradley, a waitress, of Te Awamutu, who procured it. Bradley approached Mrs Beaufort, asking her to detain a [privilege ticket for her to travel from [Frankton to "Wellington. These tickets [were available to the wives of railway [servants nt a quarter ol the ordinal v [fare. To give her husband the ini precision that she was travelling to W ol[lington, Mrs Beaufort stayed with [friends for several days, j Bradley was fined £3, and Mrs BcauIfort £2, with costs.
