The trunk ajr service was inaugurated to-day with the arrival of the Union Airways liner Kotuku from Palmerston, followed a few minutes later by the Cook Sarait 'plane from Wellington. The Union Airways Liner, Karoro, with Flight-Lieutenant Gerrard in charge, left Taieri airport at 11.33 this mornjng on the first scheduled flight to Palmerston North. She carries four passengers for Christchurch and two for Palmerston.
