Tliero was a record production of steel in Great Britain in 1935, tho output being 9,842,400 tons, compared with 8,860,000 tons in 1934, and the previous highest annual output of 9,716,000 tons established in 1917. The production of pig-iron in 1935 was 6,426,400 tons compared with 5,979,000 tons in 1934.
