GIRLS' RECORD LOWERED. AUCKLAND, January 14. One New Zealand record was lowered at the intermediate and junior swimming championships of Auckland, held in the tepid baths to-night, the successful competitor being the winner of the 50 yards junior girls' title, M. Black. Her time was 29 3-ssee, a reduction of one-fifth of a second upon, her own record, which was established at Auckland nearly two years ago. Another title gained by her was in the 100 yards, in which she lowered the Auckland record from lmin 11 2-ssec to lmin 10 3-ssec. AUCKLAND JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM. AUCKLAND, January 14. The following team will represent Auckland at the New Zealand intermediate junior championship meeting at Hamilton on January 25, 27 and oa. Intermediate boys' 100 yards and 220 yards: A. Pascoe. 144 yards breast stroke: M. Cleary. Intermediate girls' 100 yards and 220 yards: Misses J. Finlayson and G. Priestley. 220 yards: Miss K. Grey. 75 yards breast-stroke: Miss G. Priestley. Junior boys' 100 yards: J. Enwright. 220 yards free-style; and 75 yards bjreast-stroke: S. Rippen. Junior girls' 50 yards and 100 yards: Miss M. Black. 50 yards breast stroke: Miss J. Wright. CANTERBURY JUNIOR TEAM.
