SOME MIGRATION.

POSSIBLY IN AUSTRALIA. DECREASE IN UNEMPLOYMENT. (United Press Association —Copyright) CANBERRA, Jan. 10. The Minister for the Interior (Mr T. Paterson) says the Federal Government has not yet formulated any definite plan for a migration arrangement with Britain. The responsibility of absorbing migrants would fall upon the states, and in view of tTITs the states will be fully consulted at the next Premiers' Conference before any action is taken. Mr Paterson added that obviously nothing could be contemplated that would result in a flood of migration, but unemployment figures had fallen amazingly and were now at the lowest for many years, so that the resumption of migration in some degree could at least be considered.
