NELSON MEETING CANCELLED NELSON, January 10. The Nelson Trotting Club had intended to hold a two-day meeting on February 1 and 3, but the executive has now decided to cancel the fixture. A general meeting will be held on Monday to discuss the future of the club.

WEST AUSTRALIAN MEETING. WEEKS POSTPONEMENT LIKELY. PERTH, January 10. The Trotting Association is watching the shipping position, but the president (Mr J. Stratton) states that no postponement of the big meeting is yet necessary, but the starting date will depend on the arrival of the New Zealand horses. If a postponement is necessary it will be for no longer than a week.
